THC Products
Understanding CBD vs. THC Products
Two important terms to know when you first start consuming marijuana are CBD and THC. CBD is the short form of cannabidiol and THC is the short form of tetrahydrocannabinol. Both are key natural compounds found within cannabis plants and are both what attract people to cannabis products.
Both CBD and THC concentrates and products have been shown to provide medical benefits. The most popular benefits are said to be relief from anxiety, insomnia, and pain (especially chronic pain). Studies have also shown that CBD and THC concentrates and products can help alleviate symptoms associated with diseases and disorders like arthritis, diabetes, and Crohn's disease.
But why choose THC products over CBD products? Well, the biggest reason is that THC products and THC concentrates are psychoactive, which means that they produce a high. THC is able to produce this high because it elicits reactions from unique receptors in the brain, receptors that CBD products won't affect. Because of the different ways in which the brain and body respond to THC and CBD, there are also some symptoms for which THC is better at alleviating and other symptoms for which CBD is better at alleviating. For example, THC products are particularly helpful in alleviating nausea, poor appetite, and tremors, while CBD products tend to be more helpful in alleviating migraines, PTSD, and inflammation.
